This is an LED flasher kit based on NE555 and 74HC595. The LEDs on this kit scroll and give a water flowing effect.

The bistable circuit formed by NE555 and 74HC595 generates an oscillating pulse and adjusting the value of RP changes the oscillating frequency so that the flowing speed of the LEDs can be altered.

The chip 74HC595 has an 8-bit shift register and it works as a storage device with Tri-state output function. The inbuilt shift register and storage device have a mutually independent clock.

The kit is highly recommended for beginners and electronics hobbyists.
